QUALITY SERVICE INSPECTION PROGRAM
Based on crane safety rules, mobile cranes are defined as mechanical equipment designed with the purpose of lifting load. Crawler cranes are heavy construction/ lifting machinery and safety is paramount when operating. Needless to say, to prevent accidents, machines must undergo thorough periodical inspections and maintenance.
What is quality service inspection program?
With the continuous use over the years, each part of machines will develop wear, fatigue and “aged” deformation. The Kobelco inspection program designed to check the above points, to avoid catastrophic failure, and to maintain safe and reliable functioning of the crane components.
The quality service inspection program is a follow up Inspection of Kobelco Manufactured Cranes done by a Kobelco certified engineer. We, Kobelco, are always seeking a high performance and quality of our customer’s machine through the higher quality of inspection.

Purpose of this program?
- In order to grasp the state of machine deterioration and finding the sign of trouble as early as possible and thus extend the machine life.
- Upkeeping of machine safety and machine function.
- To make a better relationship with the customers.
- Reduce the downtime and cost required for maintenance and repair of the machine.
- To make customer aware about the machine condition.
Why was quality service inspection implemented?
- To educate customers technician’s how to conduct an inspection and to keep the machine in good condition and safety, during operation.
- To let the customers, know the vital points of the machine that require inspection, where customers may not be aware. Example, Swing bearing, guy cable, sheaves etc.
- Quality service is not aimed to promote selling spare parts to customer. This is done for the sake of the customers and to contribute customers maintenance activities to enhance the availability of the machine.
- To let the customers, know about the difference between genuine and imitation products and its effect to the machine condition.
Note: Load, angle and radius calibrations will be performed as free of charge, if any discrepancy was observed during this inspection program.
